Hey all! It’s been a little while since you have heard from me. I have been finishing up school, celebrating birthday’s, taking some self care time, and working like crazy! I am actually headed back to California next month! WAHOO! But before then, June brought a weekend of back to back weddings June 11th and 12th!
The first of those two weddings was Ella and Toi out in Oklahoma City at their local church. A lot happened during their wedding day and I was honored that they let me celebrate with them as they tied the knot. And mother nature decided to stop in for the weekend as well with a temp of 91 degrees plus humidity! 😯 To say it was a hot day would be an understatement. 😂 But, at the end of the day Ella and Toi became husband and wife and partied the night away, including an afterparty from what I heard! So let’s dive into their day!
The Details & Preparations
Absolutely my favorite time of any wedding day! It’s the perfect time for candid’s, gorgeous detail shots, and lot’s of laughs! Ella hit the salon before heading to the church to do make-up and get dressed. The girls got ready downstairs while the guys got ready upstairs.
As you can expect emotions were running rampant, I mean come on, who isn’t feeling everything all at once the morning of your wedding!
Time to Get Married
Ella and Toi’s opted out of doing a first look and kept things more traditional and Toi’s reaction to seeing Ella for the first time that day proved to be worth the wait.
Their was so much joy during their ceremony from everyone, even those who could not attend in person were able to be present during a Facebook live stream. There isn’t much to say since the pictures speak well for themselves.
The Bridal Party
Ella and Toi chose a great group to help them get through their big day! Two things to make sure you have, SUPPORT & FUN! And they were both! Not only that every one of them was a team player when it came to going back outside being that it was still in the high 90’s. Gotta love having a wedding during a heatwave!
Time for those beautiful couples portraits that every bride and groom look forward to! We actually ended up going out later after dinner and after the dancing had started if the hopes that it would cool down, and the weather didn’t disappoint, and neither did their portrait time.
Couples portrait time is a great time to also give you a break from all the noise of the day and enjoy that fact that your husband and wife.
From delicious food to great music and tear-jerking toasts. The reception had it all. Then after the party was over at the church the couple headed out for a night on the town to continue the celebration with friends and family.
Congrats again to Ella and Toi of a beautiful wedding day! May your life together be filled with plenty of fun times, and lots of love.
